Introducing: Taylor Swift

 I have the weirdest music taste in the world.. i listen to almost anything and everything that catches my attention/makes me relate to the lyrics/ dance/ want to sing out loud… yes, i even listen to the good and the bad… from the Backstreet Boys, to Justin Timberlake, to the Youngblood Brass Band, Maroon 5, Pink Floyd, India.Arie, Switchfoot, Sade, Linkin Park, Elvis Pressley… and yes, even Prince…

So I never really thought of myself as a country music listener.. until i heard Taylor Swift…

She has that poppish, country-ish sound which is very simple and cute… Here’s her wiki-info:

Her ”Tim McGraw” song is named after the famous country singer (he’s Faith Hil’s husband, and he sung that “Back  When” song.. u know, “Back when a hoe was a hoe, Coke was a coke, And crack’s what you were doing when you were cracking jokes, Back when a screw was a screw, The wind was all that blew, And when you said I’m down with that, Well it meant you had the flu“).. and she even had the opportunity to sing it to him (and meet him for the very first time) during the CMA’s (Country Music Awards)… watch the performance, it’s very sweet and Reba McIntyre comments on the song at the end of the performance lol

But the song that i heard by her first was “Teardrops On My Guitar“, and what caught my attention was how hot Tyler Hilton is in the video lol and that she looks alot like a friend of mine (YOU know yourself! :p), so BECAUSE she looks like my friend, she’s the Hotness of the Week!

I downloaded a few more songs by her and they’re nice.. the ones i’m liking the most are “I’d Lie” and “Picture To Burn” (a very nice break-up/revenge song, the lyrics go: “I hate that stupid old pick-up truck you never let me drive, You’re a redneck heartbreaker who’s really bad at lying, so watch me strike out a match on all my wasted time, as far as i’m concerned you’re just another picture to burn..“)…

She just recently anounced that she’s going on tour with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, and her plans to record and have a second album release in 2008, the same year she is scheduled to graduate high school.

Give her a try, u might like it, u might not.. no harm in trying something new like i did…
