Sights & Scenes of the 25th of Feb. 2007

So on the 25th of Feb, my family and i decided to go check out places in kuwait that kuwaitis don’t usually go to or want to acknowledge their existence.. so we went to the zoo lol

the last time i went there i was 10 or 11, so it’s been around 12 years since i last went to the Zoo here in kuwait…

my little brothers were excited, they wanted to see real life wild animals, they wanted to see the giraffes, the camels, the lions, the tigers, wolves, monkeys and elephants.. so we went and we had a bunch of fun.. sure, it’s stinky in some areas, but it was still fun to see my little brothers laugh and run around like crazy, pointing and shreiking that they’ve finally seen an elephant or a monkey lol

 as soon as we walked in we had to check out where the lions, tigers, elephants, and monkeys were and there happened to be a map…

We started with the first cages and i saw this interesting looking animal:

Is this a rabbit? a kangaroo? both? i mean, it was pretty big, like a baby kangaroo.. not the usual bunny size lol

i like this monkey. it wanted to shake my brother’s hand. very polite ya7laila lol

we saw this cat and started laughing… weshalem! dasha 3arth!

but i liked how evil she was, she was making all the animals jealous cos she’s FREE! i even bet she was singing “A Whole New World” lol…

Bambi and his posse were there… with lots of deer poop too…

We finally got to see the elephants, 3amer freaked out (not in a good way) cos the baby elephant (pictured above) was reaching out with its trunk and 3amer thought it was out to get him lol

i found the baby really cute and social… but the huge elephant (the daddy/mommy) was hiding under the shade and eating i think.. it looked like it was bored out of its head…

I think 3amer ignored all the other animals and enjoyed talking to the goats… i think he was asking them why they don’t wear diapers like him and was wishing he could crap all over the floor like them…

Then we left the zoo, had lunch at Burger King, saw cute little girls wearing kuwaiti flag dresses.. then was shocked to see not so little girls (& not cute at all) wearing LOTS of badges and all types of kuwaiti flag shawls and scarfs… i mean, it’s cute for the kids, but an adult wearing all the kuwaiti flag-coloured clothes in the closet is kinda freaky..

 

oh, and we saw a huge bear cruising in the back of a jeep…

Then we were caught in the za7ma of Foam Celebrations… i hate this whole foam thing that’s turning into a tradition… i think people can have fun or celebrate a national holiday using safer tools in better ways… i believe it’s just plain rude and the dumbest way to show how much you love your country… We were in the car and children would spray foam at us for no reason.. did i friggin’ ASK YOU to spray foam at my car, you retard? it’s so rude and well, retarded!!

we’re not exactly giving people who’re visiting us from outside Kuwait the best impression now, are we?… i know i should have a sense of humor about this, and i do have a sense of humor, believe me, just not when it comes to things being inappropriate or rude… i can’t imagine myself being a parent and telling my children “let’s go to share3 el khaleej and spray foam at people’s cars! yay! that oughtta teach you lessons about life!”

oh, and then this group of kids were actually rude enough to open the doors of a stranger’s car and then spray the WHOLE family and the inside of the car with foam.. would you like this to be done to you?

i think the only fun foam-related thing was when this disgusting drag queen group were being foamed by some guys in a Yukon… the drag queen gang had their “leader” sit on their Porsche Carrera in the middle lane, like they wanted all the cars around them to see how ugly they were… so the Yukon on their right started spraying them… ALOT..

so they were forced to put the top back up…

but they still sprayed them anyway… and then the “leader” drag queen idiot let down the window to scream at them or swear at them or whatever, so they sprayed him in the face again… i hope he goes blind… but then again, shakla he never uses a mirror anyway…

what do you think the idiot does? he/she/it gives them a foam-covered finger.. my mom was shocked that he/she/it’d do that in public… but i guess if he lets himself leave the house with the way he looks then i think he’d flip someone the bird, no problem…
